My name’s Richard, and I’m the founder of Elected Electric. Born and raised right here in Fort Myers, I’ve spent my life working with my hands, figuring out how things tick, and making sure they tick safely. What started as a curiosity in my teenage years—wondering how electricity powers the things we use every day—has turned into a full-blown passion and career. I started off as an apprentice, worked my way through four years of schooling, earned my journeyman license, and not long after, got my contractor’s license so I could start this business. That was four years ago, and let me tell you—we’re just getting warmed up.

Now I’ll be honest with you—what I really enjoy about this line of work isn’t just the wires and circuits (though I do love the challenge of figuring out new systems and equipment). What gets me out of bed in the morning is knowing I can do right by people. I’ve seen a lot of hack jobs in this industry—work that looks fine on the outside, but behind the walls, it’s a mess. That kind of work can put your family, your property, and your peace of mind at risk.
